Empanada Guy to Open First Location in Building of Lafayette Restaurant That Seems to Have Closed
Empanada Guy announced a new brick-and-mortar location, which has left many wondering about the fate of the restaurant currently in that space.
In May, Developing Lafayette reported that the Empanada Guy would be opening their first location in Youngsville, but it appears like Luciano and Laura, the dynamic duo behind the delicious empanadas, have switched gears and will be taking over a former Lafayette business that closed recently.
They are still accepting preorders that can be picked up at their temporary location in Youngsville at 808 South Saint Blaise Lane Suite C.

Is Cafe 20.3 In Lafayette Closed?
We did reach out to the owners of Cafe 20.3 to get verbal confirmation they they did in fact close however we have not received a response yet.
However, several customers have reported that they tried to call and place an order during normal business hours, but no one answered.
We also attempted to call during lunch hours and no one answered, and their store front on DoorDash shows that is 'temporarily closed', while their google page says open.
Based on this announcement from Empanada Guy and the reports that customers have tried to visit and call Cafe 20.3 for weeks, it is safe to assume that they will no longer be occupying this space.
We wish the Cafe 20.3 Cafe crew the best on their next venture. If they share those details with us, we will update this story with any new information.
