Funeral services for 48-year-old Johnny Trailer Jr. of Lafayette have been announced. Trailer was the victim in the incident that occurred early Saturday, August 31st, at the barbershop in the 1000 block of Louisiana Avenue where he was employed as a barber.

Funeral Services Announced For Johnny "TJ" Trailer Jr.

Trailer was one of two victims shot just after 9 am and unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Funeral services have been shared by his family and friends for members of the community who wish to pay their respects.

Funeral Services for Johnny "TJ" Trailer Jr. will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Good Hope Baptist Church, located at 1501 E. Willow Street. The family will receive visitors beginning at 1 PM until time of services at 3 PM. A Burial will follow the service.

While there are no further details about the shooting at this time, the Lafayette Police Department is actively investigating the situation.
