Upcoming Resurfacing to Affect Traffic on Two Major Roadways in Lafayette

Starting Tuesday, May 14, Lafayette drivers should prepare for a brief disruption as road resurfacing projects kick off on two significant local thoroughfares: LA Neuville Road and Chemin Metairie Road. Provided the weather cooperates, the work is scheduled to last from 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16.

The scope of the resurfacing will cover LA Neuville Road from Bonin Road to Ambassador Caffery Parkway. Chemin Metairie Road will also see improvements from LA Neuville Road up to Ambassador Caffery Parkway.

During the project, drivers who usually take these routes can expect alternating lane closures, which may cause minor delays. To minimize inconvenience, the city has recommended alternate routes for the duration of the resurfacing. Residents and regular commuters are advised to plan their trips accordingly to avoid unexpected delays.
