Together we can help find this scared shelter dog a forever home before the holidays.

After seeing the video on Facebook, we knew we had to do our part to help get this poor pup adopted by a loving family.

A distressing video shared by Haley Huggins on Facebook has stirred emotions statewide as it showcases a one-year-old dog trembling in fear at a Louisiana shelter. The heart-wrenching footage highlights the pup's anxiety, but despite being terrified, he's described as being friendly and getting along well with other dogs.

He is currently located at the Caddo Parish Animal Services & Mosquito Control and is available for adoption on December 11th.

The video Haley shared has gotten over a thousand shares and hundreds of comments, however as she states in her Facebook post, she received tons of messages but not a single person has shown up to adopt him yet. Most of the time when people come across a viral video like this they assume someone else will do something about it. More times than not this assumption is what keeps shelter dogs waiting for their forever home even longer.

If you have been considering bringing a furry friend into your family we hope you consider adopting rather than adding to the overflow problem shelters have across the state by buying from a breeder.

Having a pet is a lifelong commitment, so for first-time pet owners fostering is a great choice. You save a poor pup like the one in the video from suffering in a shelter until someone comes forward to offer them a forever home.

We hope we can help find him a home before Christmas.
