NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Gov. Bobby Jindal says the Republican Party has to campaign for every vote, and that's why he strongly criticized Republican Mitt Romney for saying President Barack Obama bought the presidential victory with gifts to minorities and young people.

On "Fox News Sunday," host Chris Wallace asked Jindal about his comment that Republicans must "stop being the stupid party."

Jindal said, "If we want people to like us, we have to like them first." He continued, "And you don't start to like people by insulting them and saying their votes were bought."

Jindal says Republicans believe their conservative principals are good for every voter. He says they must show every voter that they're the party for the middle class and for upward mobility.
