Louisiana's rice industry gets some good news. Kellogg's has agreed to use two new Louisiana produced rice varieties in their cereals. Dr. Steve Linscomb, director of LSU Ag Center's rice research station in Crowley, says Kellogg's decision to use these varieties should mean more Louisiana rice sold on the world market. Linscomb says these new varieties are also more cost effective.
