
Lafayette Councilmen Talk Money For Fire
Three of Lafayette's City Parish councilmen joined "Mornings With Ken and Bernie" to talk about government business.
Lafayette City Parish Council Chairman Jared Bellard, Vice Chairman William Theriot and Councilman Andy Naquin all joined the show to give their views on two items:
- The proposed 1/2 cent sales tax to fund the construction, equipping and hiring of personnel for two Lafayette fire stations. ( The item was removed from the agenda last night.)
The measure passed allowing Lafayette Utilities System customers to "opt-out" of having "smart meters" installed at their homes.
