A four month long investigation leads to two arrests in Lafayette.

Smoke-it owners Samer Mohd and Emad Abdallah were both arrested after the Lafayette Metro Narcotics Task Force, Lafayette Police Department, Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Louisiana State Police and the Louisiana office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control used search warrants to search through the two businesses on Johnston street, Verot School road and their personal homes.

The Johnston street location allegedly contained around 250 lbs of synthetic marijuana and a large amount of cash. Officers also located a gun within the business as well. The two men were booked with a various amount of charges including felony manufacturing of  a narcotic and illegally carrying a weapon. Thousands of packets of the illegal drugs were found in the store as well and were being sold.
