Lafayette Man Arrested For Boudin Shop Shooting
St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Deputies arrested a Lafayette man for the attempted murder of two juveniles who were shot at Hebert's Boudin Shop on Easter Sunday.
A large group of people was at the boudin shop/Valero gas station, when two people were going to fight.
Witnesess say that 20-year0-old Trevonta Jamal Arceneaux followed one of the people going to fight. That's when police allege that Arceneaux, also known as "Bombay" shot the juvenile in the back.
A female who ran up and threw her arms about the victim was also allegedly shot in the back by Arceneaux.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office spokesman Major Eddie Thibodeaux says when they learned Arceneaux was hiding out in Lafayette they enlisted the help of the U.S. Marshall's Office to help them take Arceneaux into custody.
He is facing Two Counts of Attempted Second-Degree Murder.
