Lafayette Man Arrested For Inappropriate Acts With Kaplan Teen

A Lafayette man accused of behaving inappropriately with a 15-year-old he met on Facebook is now behind bars.

Kaplan Police Chief Boyd Adams says 22-year-old Eric Manuel was arrested after police posing as the boy sent Manuel a text message.

Police say the inappropriate acts occurred during three visits to the boy's home.

Manuel has been booked with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, and bond has been set at 175-thousand dollars.
