Lafayette Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting

Around 1:30 this morning, Lafayette Police were called out to investigate a shooting in the 700 block of South St. Antoine.

The 15-year-old victim told officers that he was inside of a car with several of his friends when a black male suspect walked up to the car and pulled out a handgun.

The suspect pulled the door open on the car, and he allegedly shot the man once in the left arm.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

The suspect fled the area on foot.
