An arrest has been made in connection to a drive-by shooting that Crowley Police responded to at the Shady Oaks subdivision in the early hours of January 28th.

According to Crowley Police, a man was sitting in his vehicle when an unknown shooter opened fire, striking the car nine times. One of the bullets also hit the victim’s hand. Fortunately, he was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover fully.

KLFY reported Friday that 18-year-old Johnesha Fontenot had been arrested and charged with eight counts of principal to attempted second-degree murder in connection to the Crowley drive-by shooting.

The shooting occurred at approximately 2:15 a.m., and police have not yet released further details regarding a possible motive or additional suspects. The investigation remains ongoing.
