Lafayette Woman Asks for Help Tracking Down Suspects Who Torched Her Vehicle

A Lafayette woman is seeking the community’s help in locating the individuals responsible for setting her beloved Ford Bronco on fire. The incident, which has left the woman devastated, was quickly traced by authorities to a suspect and an alleged accomplice who are currently on the run.

Jessica Fontenot shared photos of her vehicle, now burned beyond recognition, and contacted local authorities immediately after the incident.

Within 24 hours, police identified the individuals involved and issued warrants for their arrest on Friday (6/21). The suspects, known to Fontenot, are believed to be traveling in a two-door Eruption Green Bronco with a temporary Louisiana license plate tag: LA 20946845.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Fontenot detailed her heartbreak and the significance of her Ford Bronco. She described the long and personal journey to acquire the vehicle, which held immense sentimental value to her. Jessica's Bronco wasn't just a vehicle that got her to and from; it was a symbol of healing and progress in her life.

Fontenot expressed that she was crushed over the incident, stating, "This person hit me where he knew it would hurt me the most. The only thing I loved and cherished behind my girls." Despite the emotional strain, she remains hopeful and determined to see justice served.

She is urging anyone who may have seen the suspects or their vehicle to contact local police authorities immediately.

Fontenot also took a moment to thank her supportive “Bronco Family,” noting, "I trust that the Lord will get me through this, and I will come out on top, bigger and better!"

Investigators continue to follow leads, and anyone with information related to the whereabouts of the suspects or the vehicle is asked to contact the Lafayette Police Department.
