Louisiana College president Dr. Joe Aguillard is reportedly resting comfortably after he was hospitalized Monday for a heart attack. College spokesperson Amy Robertson says Dr. Aguillard's family tell her the
prognosis is not bad at all. Robertson says Aguillard is currently in no pain and resting at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria. She says, however, doctors feel they do need to operate. Robertson says Aguillard's physicians installed a stint in one of the college president's arteries, and he'll need to wait about a week before a bypass surgery to correct an arterial blockage can be scheduled. She says Aguillard has spoken with her and is in good spirits. (Aguillard has been with LC since 2005)
