The Lafayette Christian Academy Knights have an opportunity to win their 2nd District 7-1A basketball championship in a row when they face the Central Catholic-Morgan City Eagles Friday night at the Plex.

Currently, LCA is 9-0 in district play (24-3 overall), blowing out all six of its other district members. Sitting behind the Knights in the standings is the Eagles, who are 8-2 in District 7-1A play. One of those losses were to LCA earlier this season, a game in which LCA Coach Byron Starks clinched his 70th win in his 3rd year with the Knights. With the following seven wins, Coach Starks now has 77 wins as the LCA head basketball coach.

The Knights have been blowing out not only their district opponents, but many other playoff basketball programs across different classifications as well, as they've rolled to a #3 ranking in Class 1A and the #1 rankng in all of Acadiana.

Below are highlights from throughout the season. As you can see, LCA is a very exciting team to watch and the Plex serves as a phenomenal site for watching high school basketball!

Tune in to ESPN 1420 AM's broadcast of tonight's game with Mike "Bandit" Bernard and Brandon Comeaux.
