The Mardi Gras party is over.  Today is Ash Wednesday for thousands of Acadiana Catholics.

Our Lady of Fatima's Father Michael Russo tells KPEL news Ash Wednesday is about starting over spiritually.  While Roman Catholics are the largest denomination taking part in Ash Wednesday in Acadiana, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian and Anglican churches have services.
