200K Pounds of Popular Egg Product Recalled in Texas
Everything is bigger in Texas, including the soaring egg prices due to the avian influenza outbreak that has affected poultry farmers, restaurants, and consumers nationwide. To think that just last year, a dozen eggs were around $2.50 in February.

Whether you went out dancing all night and need a late-night snack or you want a quick family breakfast after Sunday service, Waffle House is a go-to spot for Texans.
You may have noticed that even a major chain like Waffle House has been affected by the egg shortages and announced recently that they would be adding a $0.50 surcharge per egg to compensate for unexpected supply issues.
As if the increasing egg prices weren't enough, now consumers and farmers have to worry about a massive recall.
