Louisiana Bill Aims to Add Abortion Exceptions for Minors
Louisiana currently enforces a near total abortion ban, only allowing the procedure to prevent the death or severe physical impairment of the woman.

In 2024, Louisiana became the first state to classify abortion medications as 'controlled dangerous substances', making the regulations around drugs like mifepristone and misoprostol even stricter.
While the current aborition laws in Louisiana don't have any exceptions for pregnacies resulting from rape or incest, that could be changing soon.
