Louisiana Gas Prices Quietly Sneaking Back Upn
Don't get mad at me, I'm just the messenger!
If you've gone to the gas pump at al recently, you've noticed prices so low you might have considered filling up your car and a strangers. Ok, that might be a stretch, but still... Prices have been extraordinarily low in our area. I've enjoyed the $1.60 gas at the Murphy station by our studios quite a bit, but sadly, times they are a'changing.
AAA Fuel Analyst, Don Redman, says the price at the pump nearly jumped three cents overnight. He says, "We are looking at about an average of $1.97 getting close to where we were a month ago over two dollars a gallon. I think that is going to be the trend in the short term, those gas prices continue to climb.”
The bad news is that our fuel prices are rising, the good news is that we won't see any large increases at the moment, although that could change by summer time.
“We could see prices jump from 50 cents a gallon to a dollar a gallon. We could be looking at by the time we get into June that prices are back at or above $2.50 a gallon."
So enjoy these low prices while they last my friends!
