Most of Louisiana remains under a winter storm warning today as freezing rain and snow make life difficult for motorists in the state.  The freezing rain is in an area located to the state line north of Monroe, over to south of Shreveport, south to north of Lake Charles and east to the Baton Rouge-Lafayette area.  The area of frozen precipitation could grow should temperatures continue to fall in southeast Louisiana.  Icy road conditions have resulted in bridge and road closures overnight and the situation is not expected to improve until temperatures start rising above the freezing mark.  Many schools and some businesses are closed because of the lousy weather, including state offices in more than 50 parishes.  Fort Polk is even closed today.
