LPD Chief Tackles Issues Of Go-Cups And Community Relations
**UPDATE** Lafayette Police Chief Toby Aguillard joined Rob Kirkpatrick and Bernadette Lee on Acadiana's Morning News. On his agenda this month is a new Southside Community Relations Board to help officers enforce laws in that part of the city.
The Lafayette City-Parish Council has voted on a new liquor ordinance and it looks like the go-cup could be in trouble—again.
The council voted 7-1 on Tuesday to do away with go-cups at bars/clubs after midnight. Soon, bars will not be able to handout go-cups at the door once patrons leave their establishment.
