The LSU Tigers return to the hardwood on Saturday afternoon, when coach Johnny  Jones’ squad plays host to the Georgia Bulldogs in SEC action at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge.The game will be the final regular season game of the 2013-2014 college basketball season for both teams.

LSU, who defeated Vanderbilt , 57-51, on Thursday night in Nashville, Tennessee, snapping a seven-game road losing streak, currently stands at 18-11, overall, and 9-8 in SEC play, and has won seven-consecutive home games.

That 9-8 league mark puts the Tigers in a tie for sixth place in the conference standings with Missouri, one game behind Arkansas and Tennessee, who are tied for fourth place, and one game in front of Texas A&M and Ole Miss, who are tied eighth place.

Georgia, who is 17-12, overall, and 11-6 in league play, is all alone in third place in the conference standings.

Offensively, LSU currently is third in the conference, scoring 76.1 points-per-game, while Georgia ranks ninth, averaging 69.2 points a contest.

LSU is led by junior forward Johnny O’Bryant, who is averaging 15.9 points-per-game, along with 7.9 rebounds-per-game, while Georgia is paced by sophomore guards Kenny Gaines and Charles Mann, both averaging 13.1 points-per-game.

The Bulldogs won the earlier match-up this season, defeating the Tigers, 91-78, back on February 6 in Athens, Georgia.

Tip-off time is scheduled for 4 o’clock.
