Man Arrested For Illegal Tire Dumping In Iberia Parish

Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal says that deputies with the Rural Agricultural Patrol Unit arrested a man after they say he dumped 17 large truck tires out on Hayes Road.

The deputies say there was a report of the tires being dumped on the property belonging to Square B Farms.

Deputies were able tie 33-year-old Jerome Mitchell of Abbeville to the dumping.

He was charged with Gross littering and simple criminal damage to property for also damaging the farmland while dumping the tires.
