Man Didn’t Like The AT&T Trucks Parked In Front Of His Home, So He Shot Them Up [VIDEO]
It was a terrifying scene for AT&T workers in Hialeah as a 64-year-old man opened fire on their work trucks.
Hialeah Police say the shooting happened just after 11 a.m. as AT&T bucket trucks were working on overhead phone lines.
The owner of the house came out, he was upset the trucks were parked in front of his house, asked them to move. They said, ‘We’ll move in a few minutes, we’re just working on the poles. We’re supposed to be here.'
The homeowner, who has been identified as Jorge Jove, went back into his house, but soon returned with a gun and opened fire on the trucks while workers ducked for cover in the buckets above.
The video that is circulating shows one of the workers calling 911 from a distance as the sounds of gunfire ring throughout the video.
There’s a guy shooting at the tires, he’s shooting at the truck and everything.
Officers confirm the man flattened tires and shot into the bodies of the truck, but police are investigating whether or not he was attempting to shoot at the workers.
An AT&T spokesperson says the company is "grateful no one was hurt" and they are working with authorities in the ongoing investigation.
Jove has been taken into custody and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and two counts of felony vandalism.
