Mandeville Residents Already Feeling the Effects of Hurricane Barry

Tropical Storm Barry has made Landfall as a Category one Hurricane and those to the East of his tracks are already feeling the effects of the storm as widespread flooding roars across the streets near the Lakefront in Mandeville, Louisiana. Mandeville sits about 40 minutes from New Orleans.

This picture shows Lakeshore Drive completely submerged in floodwater.

This video shows people walking through the streets to take pictures of the flooding. Officials, however, would like to encourage pedestrians that this is NOT a sightseeing event. Your safety is the number one priority.
