During the personality interview segment of Miss USA 2016 pageant, Miss Hawaii was asked a controversial political question that many felt was unfair.

When Miss Hawaii USA (Chelsea Hardin) was asked if she would vote for Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election, the question was instantly met with boos from the crowd.

Even though the question wasn't the easiest, coupled with the obvious disapproval from the audience, Hardin still handled it like a boss by choosing to focus on what she would like to see the next president accomplish rather than choosing a candidate.

All I have to say, it doesn't matter what gender. What we need in the United States, is someone who represents those of us who don't feel like we have a voice. Those of us who want our voices heard. We need a president to push for what is right and push for what America really needs.

Though her amazing to the awkward question answer landed her a spot in the Top 3, she ultimately fell short of winning it all—taking the First Runner Up spot as Deshauna Barber, Miss Washington, District of Columbia, was crowned Miss USA 2016.

Many felt that the question may have cost Miss Hawaii the crown.

How do you feel about the question? Was it fair? Do you think it may have affected the outcome of the pageant? Comment below now!
