Multiple Child Molestation Arrests In Church Point

  State police arrested seven people and charged them with aggravated incest and rape.  Three of the victims were young girls under the age of nine who were forced to have sex with eight adults.  The suspects were family members and adult friends.  State police arrested:  57 year old John Stelly of Church Point, 55 year old Alice Stelly of Church Point, 30 year old Jennifer Stelly of Ville Platte, 52 year old Barry Giglio of Ville Platte, 51 year old Marla Giglio of Ville Platte, 42 year old Marty Blood of St. Landry Parish, and 26 year old Brandy Blood of St. Landry Parish.  State police are still searching for an eighth suspect, 35-year-old Lawrence Ricks Jr. of Ventress.  The arrests comes after information collected by the Department of Children and Family Services.  State Police Colonel Mike Edmondson said, "This crime is unconscionable.  There is nothing more disturbing to me than seeing innocent children exploited and molested.  Child molestation is a horrible, heinous act and there is no place in a civilized society for such appalling actions."
