Murder Conviction Overturned

A Lafayette woman convicted of murdering her boyfriend and sentenced to life in prison will be set free. 

This, after Louisiana's Third Circuit Court of Appeal ruled the state failed to prove her motive for the crime and tossed out the conviction and sentence.  Mary Trahan has been behind bars for the past two years.
