The NBA is moving ahead with plans to purchase the New Orleans Hornets, which has basketball fans concerned the team will soon re-locate to another city. Governor Jindal says he's spoken with NBA Commissioner David Stern about ways the state can keep the team in New Orleans. The Hornets current agreement with the state expires in 2014. Under terms of the contract, Louisiana gives the NBA franchise up to 6.8 million dollars a year if certain attendance figures are not met. Jindal says he wants the Hornets to stay, but not at the expense of other critical services.
