The Lafayette Parish public school system now has a new district plan to tackle bullying in schools.  Along with the plan, a new awareness campaign.  The new plan is an additional measure to raise awareness in schools.
School officials are stepping up their efforts to make it easier for students and parents to report bullying.  It includes cyber-bullying as well.  Students and parents now have a form they can fill out at school anonymously if they wish to report bullying on or off campus. 

      The new plan requires, thirty, sixty and even a ninety day follow up on every complaint.  School administrators from the elementary to the high school level worked on this additional measure to combat bullying in schools.  In addition, school officials are conducting an extensive awareness campaign educating students and parents on all different forms of bullying.
