New Iberia Doctor Reported Missing

On December 13, 2010 at approximately 9:00 a.m. the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing person. It was reported to the Sheriff’s Office that Dr. Robert Chatant was due to report to his office Monday morning at 8:30, but he did not show up.

Since then, his vehicle was recovered at a Wal-Mart shopping center in New Iberia. Dr. Chastant has not made contact with his family thus far. At this time the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office is treating the investigation as a missing person complaint.
