New James Bond Film Delayed, Director Replaced
The as yet untitled 25th James Bond film was originally slated for a November 2019 release. that's been pushed back to February, 2020. The delay is due to the departure of director Danny Boyle. Page Six reports, Boyle's departure was over "creative differences." Daniel Craig will make his 5th, and likely final appearance as 007. It had been rumored Craig wouldn't return after the departure of Sam Mendes, who directed Craig's previous 4 appearances, "Casino Royale", "Quantum of Solace", "Skyfall", and "Spectre". Cari Joji Fukunaga has been tapped to direct the upcoming film which will reportedly begin shooting March 4th, at London's Pinewood studios. Fukunaga will be the first American director in the history of the Bond franchise.
