At my house we have black eyed peas for good luck, cabbage (cole slaw!) for money, and a toast and kiss at midnight with the ones we love. Traditions in the south are pretty much along those lines, but not so much around the world!. From our friends at the International Business Times we find out that in the Philippines they open all doors and windows in their houses on New Year’s Eve to allow negative energy to leave and good energy to enter. In South Africa, throwing furniture out the window in Johannesburg is a time honored New Year's tradition - huh? Check out some other bizarre, weird, or just plain crazy New Year's traditions around the world - and don't forget to add a little tasso to your black eyed peas, ya'll! Happy 2015!
