Not Necessarily The News: Tootie Deals With Summer Heat

Tootie Landry talks about some of the benefits of the Louisiana summer heat in this edition of "Not Necessarily The News." 

"Hey! I'm Tootie Landry and this is what I found out today! I don't know if Al Gore was right or not, but it is "hot outside!" I'm even having to put on sunscreen just to sit in my car. Unless you are living in Alaska, you can get a "tan" just standing by your window.

I'm feeling like a native from South Africa before apartheid…this weather is so oppressive!

"Everyone" is complaining about the heat, but "no one" is doing anything about it! I do my share of complaining but I have managed to find some benefits with this summer weather and here are a few.

#1) I've learned to drive my car with 2 fingers!

#2) I now have an excuse to carry an ice chest while walking from my office to my car!

#3) I'm watering less because the only thing alive in my flower bed is mulch!

And finally #4) it's so hot outside on Sunday I actually bought a bar-b-que dinner straight from a cattle farm in Erath!
