The On Call Band Project Chair Gala is this Friday, September 9 at the Cajundome Convention Center. The festivities begin at 730 p.m. with the presentation of a track chair to a disabled veteran and continues until 1130 p.m. with an appreciation party for all of those who have donated to previous On Call Band performances over the last two years. Secretary of Veteran's Affairs Joey Strickland will be the evening's guest speaker, with Senator Fred Mills serving as master of ceremonies.

There will be no cover charge, but donations will be accepted at the door to help purchase a second track chair, which costs around $16,000.

Sponsorship tables (10 seats/table) remain available at $2000 for front row and $1000 for second row. Sponsorships are tax-deductible. Table donations are used to cover the costs of facility rental, sound technicians, security, and other related costs. Those interested may contact Gary Guidry at 234-3204 for more information.
