Ortego Announces Candidacy For Badon’s Seat

A day after Bobby Badon announced he will not seek re-election of his District 39 seat, a businessman from Carencro announces his candidacy. Stephen Ortego, made his announcement at Prejean's Restaurant at 3 pm. Ortego ran for the same seat four years ago, but narrowly missed the runoff. The district includes Carencro, Scott, Ossun, and parts of southern St. Landry Parish.
