Lafayette Fire Department fire inspectors conducted an inspection at The Keg night club at on McKinley Street Friday night after receiving a complaint from the State Fire Marshal that the club was over capacity.  The club was closed after investigators say there were more than the 630 maximum people allowed in the club.  Fire inspectors counted 842 individuals exiting the door. There were 212 people more than what is allowed.  The manager, George Falvaloro, was ordered to turn on the lights and advised patrons to exit the club, and was cited for violating the ordinance pertaining to overcrowding. According to the ordinance, the establishment must be closed for the night and can not re-open til a meeting with the Fire Chief is arranged. The ordinance also states that after the third citation within twelve consecutive months, the establishment's Certificate of Occupancy may be revoked by the Fire Chief.   There has been no meeting scheduled at this time with the Fire Chief and the club's management.
