Not only has this year's Rockefeller Center Christmas tree received some internet hate because of its appearance, but some conservationists were also up in arms over a stowaway.

"Rocky", according to NBC, is a Saw-whet owl, one of the tiniest owl species. Though tiny, Rocky is an adult bird. She was a stowaway on the tree, somehow surviving the felling of the tree, the 170+-mile trip to Rockefeller Center, and the erection of the tree.

The story by NBC goes on to say that Rocky had been traumatized by the whole ordeal, hadn't eaten or had any water for several days, and was in a run-down state by the time she made it to the rehab center.
