Former Iberia Parish President W.J. "Will" Langlinais' request for a pardon from his 2007 conviction for malfeasance was rejected unanimously by the Louisiana Board of Pardons. Langlinais ended 20 years in public office four years ago, pleading guilty and paying $100,000 in restitution in a plea agreement that precluded prosecutors from arguing for any particular sentence. Chairman Larry Clark told Langlinais he would be eligible to reapply for a pardon in two years.
