Pineville Approves Raises For City Employees
PINEVILLE, La. (AP) — Pineville city employees will be getting a 2 percent raise.
The Pineville City Council unanimously approved Mayor Clarence Fields' proposed budget for fiscal year 2013 during a special meeting on Thursday. The new year begins July 1.
The Town-Talk reports (http://townta.lk/N1t6H9 ) the city has 280 employees in 17 departments. The raise, which does not include elected officials, is the first in two years for employees.
The 2012-13 fiscal year budget calls for an increase of $348,000. The proposed budget is set at $14.2 million up from $13.9 million this fiscal year.
