Pistorius Takes The Stand

PRETORIA, South Africa (AP) — Olympic runner Oscar Pistorius is taking the stand in his murder trial in Pretoria, South Africa.

Pistorius began his testimony with an apology to the family of Reeva Steenkamp, his girlfriend whom he shot and killed last year in the early hours of Valentine's Day.

With a shaking voice, Pistorius testified that he still has nightmares about what happened.

He says he can still smell the blood.

Pistorius has said he thought he was shooting at an intruder.
