Police Say Man Believed To Have Drowned In Crawfish Pond

The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office is releasing details today about a suspected drowning that happened Friday.

Maxine Trahan, spokesperson for the department, gives the details that a man working with a crawfish push boat in a crawfish pond lost his footing and drowned.

The man, 18-year-old Luis Angel Padilla of Church Point, was found later by a co-worker.

The Calcalsieu Parish Coronor's Office is conducting an autopsy.

The incident is still under investigation.
