Rate Hike Refused

The Louisiana Department of Insurance has refused to grant an average 14.3 percent rate hike to State Farm for its homeowners policies. State Farm says it will continue working with the department and don't know at this point if they will seek a smaller increase. Last year, State Farm requested a rate hike..it was rejected...appealed..and then granted at a small rate.
