State Representative Alan Seabaugh talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Erin McCarty and Dan Keele about last weekend's elections, the upcoming run-off and what the "red wave" of statewide Republican wins means for the future of Louisiana.

Republican Seabaugh, re-elected in a landslide over Democrat challenger Brian Salvatore, was one of many GOP wins across Louisiana that give the party a near super majority in the legislature going into the next legislative session.

Seabaugh also tells KEEL listeners that the wins may spell trouble for incumbent Democrat John Bel Edwards in his reelection run-off against Republican challenger Eddie Rispone. "No incumbent governor who received less than 50% in the primary," says Seabaugh, "Has ever been reelected."
