New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees

 

Week 13 of the 2012 NFL season begins on Thursday evening, when the New Orleans Saints travel to Atlanta, Georgia, to take on the Atlanta Falcons, in an NFC South showdown.

New Orleans has won five of their last seven games, after beginning the season 0-4, and are now 5-6 on the season, while Atlanta stands at 10-1, with their only loss coming at the hands of the Saints, in a 31-27 setback on November 11 in New Orleans.

Quarterback Drew Brees leads the Saints, offensively, with 3,333 passing yards, and 31 touchdowns, while quarterback Matt Ryan paces the Falcons, with 3,425 passing yards, along with 21 touchdowns.

Atlanta ranks sixth in offense in the league, averaging 385.9 yards-per-game, while New Orleans ranks eighth, averaging 381.9 yards-per-game.

Defensively, Atlanta ranks 14th, giving up 344.9 yards-per-game, while New Orleans ranks last, allowing 454.8 yards an outing.

The Falcons lead the all-time series, 46-41.

Kick-off time is scheduled for 7:20 pm.
