Running back Javorious "Buck" Allen (6'1, 217 lbs) came to New Orleans for a tryout last weekend and left with a roster spot for training camp.

Drafted in the 4th round out of USC by the Baltimore Ravens in 2015, Allen was used primarily as a backup in his first four seasons.

For his NFL career, Allen has rushed for 1,249 yards (3.7 average yards per carry) and 8 touchdowns on the ground.

More impressive is his receiving ability, as he's procured an impressive 129 receptions for 814 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns through the air.

Sean Payton's offense for the Saints has always utilized the pass catching ability of a capable running back, something Allen will attempt to tap into if he's going to make the 53 man regular season roster.
