School Asks For Videos For Black History Month
OPELOUSAS--Teachers at Park Vista Elementary School are asking for the community to help them with a Black History Month project.
Typically, the school holds a Black History Month program to honor and celebrate the contributions made to the local community and the nation by Black Americans. Coronavirus restrictions forced school officials to cancel that program. In lieu of that event, the school is hosting a virtual Black History Month Program that will span the entire month of February.
The school wants anyone who can to record a short video--between five and 15 minutes--to empower, uplift, and encourage Park Vista's students. Those videos will be then shown to students throughout the month.
