Secretary Of State Schedler Worried About Impact Of Budget Cuts On Museums

Some state museums may be forced to close their doors if Governor Jindal's budget cuts are approved by the state lawmakers. Yesterday, Louisiana Secretary of State Tom Schedler told the House Appropriations Committee he's concerned about the proposed pension plan overhaul that would slash $1.5 million from his budget. Schedler's not convinced the funds will be made up by shifting some of the costs of retirement to state employees.
