NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Sentencing of former Plaquemines Parish Sheriff Jiff Hingle has been delayed to June 2013.

WVUE reports (http://bit.ly/Ud2xCb ) it's the fifth time sentencing has been put off in the corruption case against Hingle.

U.S. District Judge Sarah Vance granted the delay on Wednesday after conferencing with prosecutors and defense attorneys.

In 2011, Hingle admitted receiving $20,000 from businessman Aaron Bennett after approving hundreds of thousands of dollars in payments to Bennett's company.

Prosecutors say they are trying to get additional information from Hingle that could aid in other investigations.
