Update: Mohammed Abdallah, both the owner of the Smoke Shop and the home that was raided by Lafayette Metro Narcotics agents Wednesday, has been arrested, according to our news partners at KATC.

Abdallah, who faces numerous drug charges, is accused of selling synthetic marijuana out of his business to undercover agents several times during the agents' investigation. According to investigators, more than $14,000.00 worth of synthetic marijuana was recovered during the raid.

Police are saying that two other men, Joshua Sheppard and Troy Manson, are wanted on drug charges as well. Authorities ask you to call Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS if you know either of their whereabouts.

This year's first synthetic marijuana business raid in Lafayette happened on Wednesday, resulting in numerous arrests.

According to our news partners at KATC, Captain John Babin of Lafayette Metro Narcotics says the Smoke Shop in the 3300 block of Johnston Street and a home in the 100 block of Vital Street were raided on Wednesday. Agents served warrants to several suspects, unnamed by Captain Babin, as part of an investigation into the sale of synthetic marijuana.
